Louis Oosthuizen and Richard Finch shot sub-par scores in their final rounds to secure top-five finishes at the Nanshan China Masters and Portugal Masters respectively.
Oosthuizen fired his lowest round of the week at Nanshan International, a four under par 67, to propel himself to tied fourth on five under, three shots off the lead.
"There were a lot of birdie opportunities, but I just didn't make as many as I could have," said the South African. "It is a bit frustrating when I think of the missed opportunities on the first two days."
Back in Portugal, Finch signed for a two under 69 at the Oceanico Victoria to finish fifth on 11 under, four shots back – his best result since April, when he was third at the Volvo China Open.
George Coetzee carded a four under 67 for the second round in succession to finish tied sixth on eight under, while Fredrik Andersson Hed was inside the top 30 on five under.
David Howell rose 28 places after shooting a five under 66. He was joined in tied 37th by Matthew Baldwin, who closed with a 69. Simon Dyson was level par.
