I'll take the positives from it. It wasn't the result I wanted, but it's a learning experience

Northern Ireland´s Rory McIlroy was once again in good form for the final major of the year, the USPGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin. Rory shot rounds of 71, 68, 67 and 72 which left him on ten under par, just one shot adrift of Martin Kaymer and Bubba Watson who played off for the title - Kaymer taking the title after the third play-off hole.
Rory had his chances and he got to eleven under but a bogey on the 15th put him back to ten under and he then parred his way in.
McIlroy said: "It was just a weird day. I got a good putt on 14, but I missed one on 15, which was quite disappointing. I'll take the positives from it. It wasn't the result I wanted, but it's a learning experience."
Rory now goes to 7th in the World Rankings, 11th in the Race to Dubai and 17th in the PGA Tour money list.
England´s Simon Dyson had a good week after a relatively slow season so far - he finished in a tie for 12th after rounds of 71, 71, 68 and 72 which left him on a 282 total of six under par.
South Africans, Ernie Els and Charl Schwartzel finished in a share of 18th place on four under par, whilst England´s Dave Horsey, making his debut in the USPGA, finished 28th on two under par.
Darren Clarke, who received an invitation to play in the event from the PGA of America, finished in a tie for 48th on one over par.
Ross McGowan, who played steadily in the first three rounds, shot a disappointing 81 on Sunday and he finished 70th.
Louis Oosthuize and Chris Wood both missed the halfway cut.
