Danny started playing golf at the age of 12 after a few outings caddying for his father, Mike Wardrop, Manchester United footballer, during the seventies. After a successful amateur career during which he won the Greek Amateur Championship and represented England at Boys, Youth and International level, Danny turned pro in 2003. In the early part of 2006 he aimed to qualify for the Asian Tour and finished 2nd in the Pre-Qualifying event. Danny plans to play on the Asian Tour and the European Challenge Tour during 2006.
