Anirban Lahiri

Indian sensation Anirban Lahiri joined ISM in December 2015.

Anirban enjoyed two victories during his rookie year on the European Tour, winning at the Maybank Malaysian Open and the Hero Indian Open in the space of two weeks in February that year.

He has a total of seven wins on the Asian Tour and also finished fifth at the PGA Championship - the highest ever finish for an Indian at a major - as he enjoyed a stellar 2015.

Anirban said: “I’ve thought a lot about this move and I’m delighted to be linking up with ISM and Chubby Chandler in this important phase of my career.

“I know that, through a combination of ISM and Sport Mantra, I’ll have the right guidance as I move forward and I can’t wait for 2016.”

Chief Executive Officer Chubby Chandler said: “These are such great times at ISM and we’re so pleased to have Anirban joining us as we look ahead to what is sure to be another fantastic year.

“Anirban has enjoyed a superb year and the exciting thing about him is that it was only the start. He’s so talented and dedicated, there’s so much more to come and we’re looking forward to helping him achieve his goals.”

Anirban represented the International Team at the Presidents Cup in 2015 and also played for Asia in the EurAsia Cup in 2014 and 2016.

The Indian star took a share of sixth place at the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational in May 2016 and, representing his country as golf was reintroduced after a 112-year absence, he finished 57th at the Olympic Games in Rio in August.

A hugely popular figure in his homeland, Anirban was awarded the prestigious Arjuna Award from the President of India in 2014.
